Story 2 The Boy

It was a rainy afternoon, it wasn't quite surprising considering that it rained a lot in England. London is a bright city, everyone is delightful, the city is exciting, the history of everything was beautiful. The boy looked out his window down the dark street and thought about how his life was just the opposite of that.
He sat in a desolate room, there was a light that was nearly dead, a cabinet where he kept his clothes, even though he had no more than two pairs of pants, then there was a wooden chair, and a wooden desk.

The boy had very glum features, mainly consisting of combed brown hair, pale skin, grey eyes, and thin, drooping body parts. From the looks of it he was nine to ten years old, no less. He was a very creative boy, but his father killed his mother, then suicided from the grief. No one wanted to adopt him, so he ended up going to a foster home. Life was terrible afterwards, everything was dull, he was isolated from the greatness of London. Instead he just sat and watched everyone else live a life he wished he could.

Someone knocked on the door behind him, the boy said in a monotone voice, "come in."

The door opened and the boy turned around to see a beautiful woman that seemed to be in her twenties.

She announced while closing the door behind her, "why hello there, if I may ask, what is your name?"

The boy replied, "Jonathan White. Yours?"

"Katharine McSee. Tell me, do you know who I am?"

Jonathan answered, "are you the doctor?"

"No, I am not a doctor. I am capable of taking out depression."

"So are you some sort of wizard?"

"I am capable of magic, but I am no wizard Jonathan."

"Then explain yourself, Ma'am. Why are you here? Who are you? How do you know me?" asked Jonathan inquisitively.

"Okay Jonathan, I will tell you my tale. When I was a young school girl, my name was Evangeli, it is a real name, but barely anyone has that name. Could you imagine how much I was made fun of through out my life? I was bullied, but to make it worse, I was a 'nerd'. I was top of my class, so I got bullied even more than I would have with a stupid name. So I graduated, I was top of my class, heading towards Oxford University, life was depressing, but I was making something of it. I changed my name when I was eighteen, and I did great in college. I still was a depressed child, but one day a man came to my dorm and told me about my true potential. He told me I was given a gift of magic, I began to invest my time in practicing it until I became very skilled. Magic cured my depression, and I sought out to cure depression once and for all. To rid it from this world. I am now on a journey to cure all the children with depression, and this is where we are."

"Go ahead, try, let me see your magic, Ma'am."

Katherine smiled. She lifted her arms and an aura formed around her hands. Then she shot blobs of color at everything. Every blob splashed into colors. The room went from dull to colorful.

Jonathan smiled and started laughing and clapping. It was the most awesome thing he had ever seen. Katherine and a bright grin off of her beautiful face.

Jonathan looked around in awe, it felt as if a new life was born inside of him. A sort of feeling that he never had felt before. This feeling was happiness.

Katherine was exiting the room, but Jonathan said before she could go, "thank you so much, Miss, it really means a lot."

Katherine replied with a slight nod, "you are very welcome Jonathan, I will see you soon."

Jonathan watched as she left, he smiled, his depression was finally gone.
